The Assuring Benefits of Faith, Part 3

Text: 1 John 5:4b-17

Summary: In 1 John 5:4b-17, to strengthen his little children’s assurance, John sets forth three assuring benefits of believing that Jesus is the Son of God. Today, we will be looking at the third benefit in 5:14-17.

Outline: 

I.   Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God overcome the world. vv. 4-5

II.  Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God have a reliable testimony of eternal life. vv. 6-13

III. Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God have confidence before God in prayer. vv. 14-17
