Love One Another, Part 2

Text: 1 John 3:11-24

Summary: In 1 John 3:11-24, John sets forth three contrasts between the children of God who love and the children of the devil who hate to assure his readers of their status as the children of God.

Outline: 

I. The children of God love fellow believers in the church. In contrast, the children of the devil hate fellow believers in the church (vv. 11-13).

II. The children of God love fellow believers because they have passed from death to life. In contrast, the children of the devil hate fellow believers because they abide in death (vv. 14-15).

    A. The children of God love fellow believers because they have passed from death to life (v. 14).

    B. The children of the devil hate fellow believers because they abide in death (vv. 14b-15).
